The dawn is breaking and the end has finally arrived. The second part of the last installment of the hugely successful big screen adaptation of the best-selling vampire adult series of novels, the Twilight series, written by American author Stephenie Meyer, is about to be unveiled later this fall. And Summit Entertainment has finally revealed the release date of The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 2. The romantic fantasy film is set to be shown in theaters this November 16, 2012. And it is bound to be one of the biggest blockbuster movies this year. The anticipation and the expectations are high, and the Twihards are very excited to catch the finale of the forbidden love story that has captured the hearts of people around the world.
Last, The first part of The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn was released in theaters on November 18, 2011. Although the film received negative reviews from critics (the past Twilight movies were also panned by critics), the Twihards did not care about what critics said. It became the second highest midnight screening of all time, behind its rival Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2, and the biggest for the franchise. The film grossed $71.6 million in North America and became the third highest opening for a single day of all time in the region. On its opening weekend, it earned $138.1 million making it the sixth biggest opening of all time. The film went on to gross more than $705 million worldwide, and it is currently the 46th highest grossing movie in film history. Breaking dawn Part 1 is the second biggest film in the Twilight series, behind New Moon, which raked in $709.8 million in 2009.
The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn part 2 will continue where the first half left off. Bella Swan has finally given birth with her daughter Renesmee, and she has now been turned into a vampire by her husband Edward Cullen in order to save her life. In the second installment of the finale, Bella is enjoying her new life and abilities a new bloodsucker. But her happiness will soon be thwarted after the life of her daughter is put in danger. The vampire Irina had misidentified Renesmee as an “immortal child”. An “immortal child” is a child who has been turned in to a vampire, which has been outlawed by the Volturi because these immortal children are uncontrollable and creating them had been banned by the powerful vampire coven. When the Volturi has found out about this after Irina had reported it to them, they set off to find Renesmee and destroy her and the Cullen coven. The Cullens then called on their other allied vampires around to become witness that the newly born Renesmee is not an immortal child and not a threat to vampire and humankind. But will they able to convine the Volturi or will there be a final standoff?
The Twilight Bsaga: Breaking Dawn Part 2 will star Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart, and Taylor Lautner, along with Peter Facinelli, Elizabeth Reaser, Ashley Greene, Kellan Lutz, Nikki Reed, Jackson Rathbone, Billy Burke, Michael Sheen, Dakota Fanning, and Mackenzie Foy as Renesmee.
